my entourage is 11.2.5 so I'll hav to check on an update anyways . when you say, "don't do anything fancy" not really sure what you mean by that. As far as exchange emails/calendars, they sync/update as normal, right?

    right clicking on a mac!

The 2-button mouse is the ONLY way to go, especially for a PC convert. I was going mad when I had the "Mac" mouse but when I finally got my 2-button back, I was able to relax...

New Office Network - Mac clients / Windows 2000 server?

Putting together a new network. A local network company is pushing me to use a Windows 2000 server to the 3 or 4 mac computers in the office. Says that server will be a little faster, more oriented to the VPN and easier to have maintained should something happen. My concerns are how it will...

Using 23' display solely from Powerbook...

Just bought an HP L2335 monitor. I can connect it to the Powerbook (using a DVI) in a dual display mode using the native 1,920x1,200 or connect it mirrored. In dual mode, the monitor is perfect but when I'm mirroring the Powerbooks' display, it shrinks the HP's height with the width the same...

Setting up Office network - what hardware?

I own a very small construction company and we are building a new office. Me and my wife are primarily the computer users, me with my CAD drawing and her with the bookkeeping, everyone else is on-site employees. I made the move to Mac a few years back and she's still on the PC. She's...

Not connecting to network w/ Safari/IE. Fox works fine.

I'm not sure why IE is trying to contact that address. It's the address in the web proxy in Sys. Pref. That address is of the router like you said. Reset Safari and it's still doing the same thing. I deleted the cookies and cache on those two browsers earlier and tried going through the help...

Not connecting to network w/ Safari/IE. Fox works fine.

IE, on the other hand, displays, "Connecting to 192.168.0.1" until it times out and says a connection failure occured. Firefox just responds immediately. Oh, and FWIW, I'm connected through a Linksys router or a AP then to the router on my home/ office network, depending on where I'm at.

Not connecting to network w/ Safari/IE. Fox works fine.

Firefox is working fine when connecting to the internet. IE and Safari do not connect, get a response or anything. I connect wirelessly with airport on my Powerbook G4 to my local network and hotspots and also with my cell phone as a modem. Firefox continues to work, but the other two...

    Apps failing or crashing occasionally.

Thanks for the response. No Norton product or any Antivirus for that matter. Also, this is OSX Panther 10.3.9, haven't made the move to Tiger yet. I'll check out those Disk Utilities. Scott

    Apps failing or crashing occasionally.

Let me just add that I don't have to restart. I always get the "application failed" window asking me if I want to submit the info or not. I'll restart whatever app it is and it works fine. I read something about screwing with the fonts and how you can mess some things up and I haven't done...

    Apps failing or crashing occasionally.

Whats happenin peeps? I'm a recent windows crossover and am still learning things. I'm having an issue of occasional crashes from apps. Sometimes it might be Entourage, another time maybe Firefox (my main browser) and on occasion, MacDraft. I use this machine on a 11g network with two...
