    iPod Shuffle Take Apart (destroy)

Ha ha, I'm now realizing what a stupid question that was (yes, contrary to the saying, there are such things). All batteries need replacement eventually...

How Many MP3's do you have?

I guess it would have been helpful to add that the only reason I haven't ripped my CD collection is because I keep all my MP3's on the internal hard drive so I don't have to have the big noisy Firewire drive on to listen to my music, and it's already running out of space. Imagine trying to fit...

    Tiger in Janruary!?

Yeah really... I hated it when I had subscriptions emailed to me, and I'd have a hundred in a row with some glaring error in it. Pardus: The G5's already have something different... they use 64-bit memory addressing, which should be more fully realized in Tiger.

Let's see if your real face looks better than your desktop. Post your pic!

Refresh, indeed! I'll have to put up some more recent pictures of myself... I took one this morning before i went to work.

    Psycholinguistics research paper: need subjects!

This sounds pretty cool. The first example caught me off-guard, but I got it by the second. Even if you don't need anymore native speakers, can we take it anyway just for the hell of it?

Wishful thinking - updating the iPod shuffle?

Everything has firmware, even your microwave. But embedded systems are a different topic... I imagine it wouldn't be too difficult for Apple to implement, since they programmed the things in the first place. I'll suggest it to Phil next time he's on, see if that gets anywhere.

    Mac mini

Yarr, take me joke to the extreme, will ye? :pirate: A 17", 4:3 aspect ratio aluminum Apple display would be awesome. Especially if they priced it at, oh, $499.

Looking for a PHP guru to work on a project

Well, I'm no guru, but I'll give you a hand... I'll IM you when you don't have a phone icon next to your screenname. :) Though I may not know all the necessary code, I can help with stuff like planning, organization, etc... basically the architecture for your project.

    Airport Extreme

Do not eat iPod Shuffle. Oh wait, that's irrelevant... sorry... Yeah, you can take your iBook to all sorts of bazaar-like places (Starbucks, for example) and surf on their wifi hotspots, often for free. And if you're going to college, you can probably find a wireless network to hook into...

    The Mac Jargon Dictionary

Pages: Your parakeet's lavatory. Soundtrack: The violins you hear when your parakeet dies. Is this good? I'm new to this. :)

HP iPod... what is the difference?

I'm not sure there is a difference. I saw one at CompUSA the other day, and it was an iPod, complete with Apple logo on the back. Of course, this didn't reveal the format of the hard drive.

    iPod Shuffle Take Apart (destroy)

On a more serious note, why does Apple use Lithium batteries for this and the iPod, knowing that they will need to be replaced? Money milker?

    The Question-Question Thread

If Google and iPod Shuffle are standing in opposite corners of a room, and there is a hundred dollar bill in the middle, what is the least amount of air it takes to make an aluminum can float to the surface of a pool?

    Second Term - JibJab

Eh, not bad. The rhyming sucked ("term" and "elecshiun"??) and the Clinton and pop-out-at-the-end jokes are getting old, but not bad.

Next low cost Apple product ?

No... the iPod hovercraft. At least that's what Phil tells me...

    Next Apple PowerBook ?

Indeed... I seriously doubt we'll ever see 23" Powerbooks, at least as long as anyone on this board is still alive. Can you imagine what that would cost? And even that is way too big to be lugging around (this from someone who thinks the 17" is on the smallish side!).
