MacOS X dosen't currently support VCD (WhiteBook format) playback. It could e.g. be incorporated into the DVD Player. How important is VCD playback capability for you ? Please rate the "importance" from 1-5, where 1 = "not important" 5 = "very important"

All you do seems to be done in 9. As chemistry_geek said, try to get into OS X and work it from that side. I has a serious crash myself once (in Classic, i.e. 9) and Disk Utility X somehow fixed it. With me, though, TechT seemed to be involved as well. Good luck !

Okay, so this is the terminal trouble: I get to the password prompt. Type the pw. However the insertion mark doesn't move as if I wasn't typing anything. Pressing return results in an error message. What can I do ?

Hi all, for a couple of days now I'm having the following problem: I can't empty the Trash because it tells me "you don't have enough privileges to delete "O"". So, *nothing* gets deleted. Switching to root/reboot etc. doesn't help. Any tips ? FYI I've included a.jpg of the error notice...

Can't access my iDisk anymore. Neither via the Finder nor by going to Apple's site and navigating there. Tells me my p/w might be wrong but it isn't (verified that). Also when going to iCards, I can access the _my pictures_ folder. When trying to access iDsik via a browser nothing at all...

Okay Myke, here's what you do: Make sure you moved a folder (e.g. your apps folder) to the Dock. Right, now mover your cursor over the the folder icon. Now press the mouse button and *keep it depressed*. The folder should spring (pop) open, that is display a menu with your apps listed. Now...
