Enabling saber dismemberment in Jedi Academy

Here are two ways to enabling insane dismembering in Jedi Academy SP. You cannot use the method used in Jedi Outcast. First Method: You can use a commandline method where you hold down shift when you start up JA. Type in the following on one line: +set g_sabermorerealistic 3 +set...

Most likely to get more optimizations in before MacSoft ships the game off to Microsoft for approvals.

    Mac Halo released December 3

I already mentioned this once in this forum. Halo was never going to be Mac only. Why do people always insist that it was going to be a Mac only release? It was first shown to select members of the Press at the 99 E3... on a PC. They didn't even have the Mac version ready to show Jobs 12...

    Diablo II troubles

That's odd. You were just reinstalling the same version of the app. Did you ever run the 1.10 beta?

    Diablo II troubles

Yes. That's the standard way of backing up your non-realm characters on both Mac and PC Diablo II. Backup your characters regularly.

    Diablo II troubles

That's probably because you're running it in OpenGL mode in fullscreen. When you play in windowed mode it always reverts to software mode. If you change your rendering engine to software mode, you should get better fullscreen performance than windowed mode. I

    Diablo II troubles

I've had no issues with any OS X update and D2 including 10.2.8 and 10.3. What version of Diablo II are you using?

    panther licensing

For more than one computer, technically you do need the family pack (it's still cheaper than two copies of the OS!). The license is only good for computers which are at your location. The license is just a piece of paper. The family pack license is there just to make you feel less guilty...

I believe Jedi Knight II came with an SDK for Mac users to use for modding. I think a Mac SDK for Elite Force was released as well. EF SDK

    Halo PC

Halo was never, ever announced to be a Mac only title. I have no clue where people get that idea. It was being developed for Macs and PCs simultaneously just as Myth and Myth II had been. After getting taste of the PC market with those two previous games, why would they develop their new...

NOO!!! Powerbooks have no L3 cache!

The L3 cache was originally added to make up for the small L2 cache in the 7450 ans 7455 processoers (256 KB). The systems that used the 7400 and 7410 processors didn't have L3 caches. They usually had 1 MB L2 caches. The new PBs use the 7457 processors which have 512 KB L2 caches (not sure...

Jedi Knight 3: Jedi Academy...any news?

Halo is an excellent game and I will be purchasing the Mac version. Thankfully I only borrowed the XBox version from a friend. But this thread is about Jedi Academy and the lack of news relating to it in regards to a Mac port. But if we do get it, Aspyr will most likely publish it, Westlake...

    Graphics Cards/Speed

Running OS X with only 128 MB of RAM is pushing it (according to your sig, that's how much RAM you have in your iMac). Trying to actually run games with only 128 MB of RAM is just asking for trouble. IMO, 512 MB is the bare minimum for OS X if you want to run any games. Preferably at least 768.
