So you go to store.apple.com and click on the education tab at the top. In the right column you'll see where it says "Shop for yourself". The second triangle is for higher education.

I think xaqintosh is wrong, I got the discount as a student. I clicked on education -> under higer education where it says staff and students -> enter state and city ->pick school -> get discount. I hope this helps, Vanguard
