Although technically true that USB IS faster, Ive always experienced faster speeds with firewire. Both with my iPod and my external hard drive. So take that as you may.

I personally prefer firewire because it uploads music quicker. Besides that, it does the same functions.

Well they could include it but it seems like they rather make a little extra money by selling it seperately like they are doing now. Either that or it costs a lot more to produce an iPod video so they had to take out something in order to keep the price the same. You choose.

I have the new video 30 gig iPod and I didnt have to remove it for any reason while it was being updated.

That's what I do. All of your music is in tact. If you burn it on cd's it will take you longer and Im not sure if it keeps your playlists and all that other stuff. It also depends how much music you have. If you have a lot then I dont think it's worth burning on discs.

First of all, did it always take that long to import a cd? Second, from the requirments on the new iPod box it says you need at least 10.3.9 installed and iTunes 6 or later. I dont know if other people use it on older OS X installments, so Im not sure how solid that info is.

I honestly think it's overpriced. $49? That's way too much for an FM tuner. And especially to just use it as a remote. I can't see this being utilized much by those who already have a whole bunch of albums on their 30-60 gig iPod's.

I ordered mine from www.macsales.com. They sent me an eMac US version of panther. It only had two discs. Oh and I dont have iLife, I thought it would come with panther already. All I have is iTunes, iPhoto and iMovie.

Im still using 10.3.8. Im in no hurry to update. I probably wont update till I get Tiger which wont be for a while.
