I just accidently bumped the spacebar and Safari scrolled down. I thought "Hmm... I wonder what happens if I press Shift+Spacebar". And sure enough it scrolled up :). Looks like I discovered another thing in Mac, like before I found that you can hold the Apple key and move the Apple default...

In 10.3 and 10.4 F11 is assinged to Exposé. The TAB key moves to the next field.

Try holding the T key at startup with the drive connected. That is; if you have it connected through Firewire.

I might as well branch this off of my previous post "What was that all about"; except this time it was much worse. I had put my Mini on sleep mode (left monitor on), came back... tapped a spacebar to wake it like I always do, and I heard "click","click","click" (about 6 time) from the monitor...

No go. First link I've already tried - dosent work. 2nd link is only a plugin installer for Photoshop 7 or CS; which I do not have. This is one of the reasons I sometimes wish I still use winodws. If you ask me, Mac + Hardware = 90% of the time dosent work.

I also for a long time wondered; "what is stored in PRAM?" This would cause me too look twice whenever someone suggested resetting it. And then I found that page that says what is stored in it; whew. I now know :)

Speaking of power surges; here recently there was a storm and there were to short power surges right in a row. Amazingly my PC was fine...... as well as my Mac Mini. The PC was actually still on standby like it was before the power surges.

Hits the power lines outside the house or hits a tree that lines run under.... Still amazes me how it makes it all the way through the circuit breaker and all the way to the plug where the computer is.

Are the speakers USB-powered? (E.G. - They are not plugged into wall power but powered from the USB bus) If so; chances are they will click/pop from time to time. I used to have a pair of Altec Lansing speakers conncected to one of my PCs and they would always pop and hiss. I replaced them with...

When I get to my Mac today I will have to try this. My Applications folder ALWAYS comes up with 3 columns of icons; but there is enough space that if I barely make the window bigger; boom 4 columns of icons. That's always driven me nuts :)
