There is a script over on VersionTracker cled "makeminempeg4" which seems to have good reviews. It puts a script into iTunes and does exactly that, rips the CD into AAC format. The only downside is that you need Quicktime6 Pro to use it.

Have switched to HTTP and put in the port of our proxy server, but this does not work for any streams. Can only watch movie trailers not live streams. We have beefed up security lately though, so maybe there is something else going on.
