If you have a LaCie drive, it might be LaCie. My LaCie USB 40 gig locks up and crashes my finder and Carracho Server. LaCie says "reformat it and it will be fine." Ok, I don't have another disk to back it up to so I am screwed! LaCie I am disapointed!!!!

Yes make sure that you chmod the symbolic link and the folder as 755.
