    iPod 2 Speculation

I don't know much about Bluetooth, but would it support the bandwidth to transfer songs from iPod to Mac? Also, what about Bluetooth headphones? I think that would be a great idea, and something that Apple would likely do. I wonder how much it would drain the battery of both the iPod and the...

    new 20" display BEAUTIFUL

Are you kidding me? Check any other quality manufacturer of LCDs and try to find a price of $1300 for a 20" LCD. Sony's, the last time I checked, are up near $2000, if not more. Also, I read some review that the 20" Cinema Display, iBook, and the 15" and 17" iMac all use a much cheaper...

12" ALBook when iBooks are updated ... ?

I'm just hoping we see a new processor at MWNY. We all know something is in development, and has been for a while. Sure the G4 beats a Pentium in a few benchmarks, but the truth is obvious.

12" ALBook when iBooks are updated ... ?

What is Apple going to do when they update the iBooks? iBooks are at 700 and 800 mhz, ALBook12 at 867 mhz. I know I'm comparing a G3 to a G4, but I'd say a +100 mhz G3 is probably just as fast as a G4. And try explaining that to the less educated. iBooks will surely incorporate DDR RAM now...

    Apple Can KISS MY ......!

And one thing that no one mentioned, with the iMac you get a 17" LCD screen. So that puts the price of the base computer around $1000. And a super drive, what's that ... 2 or 3 hundred? Plus the software is top notch. The iMac is a great deal.

    Apple Policy?

Do some computer companies allow you to actually return their product if you're not completely satisfied? I know some products you can do this, for example buying a camcorder from Sears. Just curious, I asked the guy if I bought a camera and didn't like it, he said I could return it within 30...

    Apple Policy?

Well, I convinced my brother to switch! However, I hadn't talked to him in a while and he went ahead Sunday and purchased a 15" iMac from as Apple Store. Tonight I told him about the updates, but I wasn't sure what he could do about it. Doesn't Apple have a policy of refunding you the...

    Fw 800 ... ?

That's what I mean however. For a technology to take off, it must be implemented. Only 2 computers incorporate FW800. I don't know, I just think it's kind of redundant to include 2 FW400 and 1 FW800 ... and on the iMacs none at all. So people that buy an iMac today 6 months from now can see...

    Fw 800 ... ?

Maybe it's just me, but saying "FW800 is more for pros than for consumers" to me is the same as saying USB 2.0 is more for pros. So as USB 2.0 catches up to FW400, consumer Macs lose the edge over PCs in that category. I doubt it costs that much more to include FW800. Someone said FW800...

    Fw 800 ... ?

Does anyone else think it's strange that Apple is not pushing this technology more than it is? Only 1 port, and only on the PM's and the 17" ALBook. FW400 and FW800 are backwards compatiable, so why do they still include FW400? I know it's a different connector, but just include two FW800 to...

iPod:Definition of completely draining the battery

Actually, it's recommended to not allow your iPod to fully discharge. This is because the iPod is actually always on, which allows for quick start up, and their batteries have no memory. Also, it is a very bad idea to leave your iPod recharging connected to your computer in Disk Mode. If left...

SBC Owns Patent on Menu Bar Links

How absurd. Looks like every website on the internet must be redesigned ... amazon, yahoo, apple, microsft ... lol. Maybe I'll patent the use of pull down menus and charge everyone royalties for using 'em. Give me a break.

    "iOffice" almost confirmed

I think it's pretty obvious that this is what Apple is doing. Keynote against Powerpoint and Safari against Internet Explorer. I would say Apple just wants to cut all ties with Microsoft. With all this happening, the next year or two there is going to definitely be some tables turning. First...

I'm falling at the first hurdle in Project Builder

/ ConvertController.m: / #import "ConverterController.h" / #import "Converter.h" Hmmm, I'm not sure if this matters but the name of your header file (.h) and implementation file (.m) are different. ConverterController and ConvertController.

Great idea ... would be awesome ... but the puzzle pieces just signify that the 4 applications are all seamlessly integrated ... hopefully seamlessly!

    A great addition to 10.3!

I agree with the energy saver idea. They should make a menu extra that allows you to put just the screen to sleep. During the day I have the screen saver turn on after like 15 minutes and it stays on the whole day. But when I go to bed, I don't want to see the screensaver while I'm trying to...

    A great addition to 10.3!

I was just looking through this months Macworld mag, and saw a review of this power strip that allows you to turn on and off your Mac at certain times. This was a feature in OS 9 ... why is it not in X? Is there 3rd party software that does? Apple shoud reimplement this feature.

    Busted!

How do you see this as Thinksecret covering their behinds. They predicted that it was gonna be a $50 update for all 3 apps. Steve changed his mind a few days before MWSF. Thinksecret was 'techinically' right.

    porting 3d modeling library

I'm new to Cocoa and Objective C, but the book I'm reading about the subject may me of some help. This is what I gather from the book, the NSAutoreleasePool is a memory management class that deallocates objects in the "pool" . For example, you want to return an object from a method, but you...
