Anyone having a problem with the drop shadows of the icons on the desktop? They seem to "screw up" after a while....the shadow gets slightly distorted, it's fine once i click the icon....until it happens again, heh. Fresh install here too, hmm....c'mon 10.3.1 :)

even if you setup WEP, they will still see your WLAN..but just won't be able to access it. There is no way i know of of "cloaking" your WEP. Unless maybe you surrounded your house with thick aluminum...like a giant TiBook or something.

Okay, here goes. I have some experience with *nix..or have had some so I went ahead and got X11 setup on my 10.3 install. I downloaded the fink binaries and fink commander, everything is alright so far. When i launch x11.app an xterm window pops up and i'm like "alright, sweet...good to go"...

Sounds like you might have bad memory. I wish there was a reliable bootcd/disk type program like Memtest86 for Macs.....but I haven't found a good software based memory tester for macs :( I'd try pulling out some of your ram, or replacing it with some from a known working machine :)
