I recently created a disc image using Toast but could not find the Disc Image when it had completed. Upon investigation I realised the Disc Image had been saved somewhere called 'Volumes'. Thing is I can't find Volumes anywhere even though I can select in Toast when asked where to save the Disc...

You might try Drive Genius to recover the files...I've had great success with it when everything else failed.

I tried Toast to burn an .AVI file to a DVD disc and had some success, but a few files I have containing a variety of audio formats failed to include the audio. I also tried iMovie and exporting to iDVD but I'd prefer one app to handle everything. So my question is...is there a better program...

The reason behind not being able to 'cut' files is one might 'cut' a file, forget to paste it and 'cut' another file...subsquently the first file 'cut' would be over written by the first and lost forever.

Use Vuescan, it's cheap it works with 10.2.8 and is far superior to the UMAX software.

Make sure Sharing is turned off, otherwise you wont be able to change the HD name.

In Entourage you can hold down alt when clicking the app to open. This brings up an option to rebuild the database...it's possible Outlook has a similar option...worth trying.

In Illustrator main menu 'View', select 'Show Page Tiling' and make sure the print boundary is the correct size and positioned correctly on the artboard. If it isn't you can move it using the Page Tool by option clicking the Hand Tool. It's size is determined by Page Setup.
