    You can try to use a program called Pacifist to extract the Printer Setup Utility from your OS X install disc, and simply place that in your Applications/Utilities folder.

    downloded files continualy open in Excel...

    Download and install Stuffit Expander. I've only ever gotten this problem when i use a .bin type file, as it thinks it's an Excel Binary Format if Stuffit isn't there. Also, don't use LimeWire for illegal downloading, of course.

    Whenever it asks for Login/Password, it's asking for the login/pass of the computer you're trying to connect to. If that doesn't help, then it might help you, baba, to start a new thread and ask your question there, since it seems like a seperate issue from this one.

    I would try process of elimination. Unplug all peripheral devices and plug them back in, one-by-one, until you get that error again. Then you'll know what's causing the problem. Once you've found the offending device, try plugging it directly into your mac to see if you get the same error...

    I just say Apple Comp should buy Apple Corp flat out. The Beatles' catalog would be their most valuable asset (valued at ~$500Million) but Paul McCartney now owns that catalog (not AppleCorp), having bought it back from Michael Jackson. Without that, I can't see that AppleCorp would be worth...

    It's still in very very alpha stages. Basic programs (Minesweeper and the like) seem to work OK, but apart from that, they haven't had much success. Mind you, a program like DarWine can only ever run Windows apps that don't require services unique to Windows (like .NET, DirectX or ActiveX)...

    If not, the Mail Cache is located in Users/[your name]/Library/Caches/Mail. All of the folders in there (they should all be numbered) can be thrown out.

    Well, if all else fails, you can go pick up an empty hard drive case, and move the hard drive in the LaCie case into the new one. http://www.dealmac.com usually has some good deals on external drive cases. You can usually find a firewire case for about $40
