    firewire connection to another computer

This may be a stupid question, but are you sure the FW cord is fully pushed in on both computers? Or, could the FW cord be defective?

How big is your MP3 collection?

I know this is a dead horse that's been beaten over and over, but I *can't wait* until there's MP4 support for the iPod! I'll be able to fit my whole collection onto my iPod again! :D

How large is your iTunes Music Library File?

Wow, thought up by the guy who owns it. Whoda thunk it? Sorry, I'm being an ass. :D At least I admitted it, though. :p

How big is your MP3 collection?

I thought it'd be nice to inject a little humor into the thread. :D

How big is your MP3 collection?

If time is an issue... Have a kid (one you know won't rip you off) do it for you. Seriously, if you buy them a pizza and some soda (make sure you tell them not to get it on your computer) and a TV to watch, and they'll just sit there and switch the CD's in and out. The longer it takes, the...

How big is your MP3 collection?

I'm wondering how big everyone's MP3 collection is, how they got it, and how much of it is legal. Just kidding about that last part :p. Anyway, mine is 5271 tracks, 14.7 days, and 19.27 GB. I got most of it by checking CD's from the public library. Amazingly, the selection is pretty decent...

How large is your iTunes Music Library File?

My collection: 5271 songs, 14.7 days, 19.27 GB I only encode my music at 128kbps, because my ears don't complain. I get most of my music from the public library; I just reserve it off their website, check it out, and import it. The library's a good place to get obscure/old stuff like the...

    iTunes 4!

Man, I can't wait until AAC support comes to the iPod. I have a 10 gig, but my collection (on my new laptop :D) is almost 20 gigs. Even though I could not (or would not) listen to it all, I'd really like to have it all (or a very large portion of it) with me. That'd be *sweet*. MWSF can't...

Does jaguar crash more than OSX.1 ?

All I know is that whenever I quit OmniWeb, there's an 80% chance that it will lock up the machine, and I'll have to do a hard restart. Clock will freeze, and cursor gets jumpy. Has anyone else had this issue? Or better yet, has OmniGroup addressed it?

New PowerBook and Flatscreen November 5th

I'd like to see a new iBook model come out, or at least a price reduction; maybe at the same time the 'new Powerbook is announced'.

    MacExpo UK

MacExpo 2002 in London is a month away. I'm not familiar with MacExpos. I mean, I hear about Apple announcing things at *MacWorld* expos, but I can't recall anything big being announced at a MacExpo. Of course, I don't really follow conventions much anyway, so maybe there has been something...

Minneapolis to get second Apple store!

What about Seattle? Or even *anywhere* in the Pacific Northwest?

    Apple buying SUN

Sometimes I think that with all of the iApps that Apple is releasing, the corporate acquisitions, and such, they are doing the exact same thing that Microsoft is doing to monopolize the computer market. But then I remember that Apple doesn't produce game consoles, own cable channels, publish...

    iPod and recurring iCal events

I have an iCal which has recurring events, and sometimes I add text to one instance of the recurring event. When I import the revised iCalender to my iPod and select the date of the altered event, it lists two events with the same time: the original instance of the recurring event, and the...

    iPod updater 1.2.1...

AAC is an audio format based on MPEG-4 which offers the same quality as MP3 at half the size. MP3 (or MPEG-1 layer 3) is a technology which is at *least* five years old (most likely more), and thus incredibly obsolete.

Jaguar Calculator has trouble with addition?

Note the smiley with the tongue sticking out, like so :p . That usually denotes a post which is not meant to be taken seriously (in other words, the post was meant in jest). Another example: Anyone know a website where one could get an original sig? :p :D

Jaguar Calculator has trouble with addition?

I was using Jaguar's calculator to figure out how much of a grocery bill I owed, and I got some freaky results from the 'paper tape' drawer; see below: Has anyone else experienced this?

Dammit. :D It always takes me too damn long to find out about stuff like this. Someone has to be the last one, I guess.
