I do have the drives on the windows computer set up for write promission thats what i stated earlier i jsut cant get it to copy anything on those drives with out having it say cant write to disk. I am running sharity though.

I can not copy stuff to any of the shared windows drives from my macos x. It states that i can not copy anything because i do not have permission but then again i do since i put in the correct password. Can someone help me out?

When I go to log into one of my window drives with sharity it logs in fine. But my problem is I can not copy a file to it. I have the drive setup so you can write and read from it. Can someone help me with this? Thanks

The only problem i have with sharity is that i can not see one of the drives on my network. On one of my macs i have dave running and have it set soit can share its harddrive. When i go into the network area in macos x i can see the mac and see the drive and able to log into it. but i can not...

The app runs fine for me the student reg. code you get when and/or if you register as a student you only get a 2client/2 server limit. Thats what the guys at sharity told me when i asked them if they can give me more client access.

I did register for the student. But they only limit to 2 drives : (.

It asks me for the password its that none of the files show up on the drive. I guess ill have to wait for the next update. Sharity is a good app the company gave me a student reg. number. But i wish i can connect to more then 2 drives at once.

When i have sharity working on my macos x everyone can see the other mac;s hard drive running dave and go look into it. But when i want to look into it all i get is a blank window and stating it is private. But everyone else on the network like the windows machines can see it fine.

hey dj, i have sharity running and it works pretty good i am also interested in samba do you think i should install it? also i have dave running one of my mac machines and i have it so it will share the one hard drive on it. When i go into sharity and try to open that drive it opens but does not...

Just to tell everyone that Sharity is an awesome program. if you have a network with both mac and windows you have to get this.

Its doing good so far but its still slow in loading pages. I have a cable modem and it does not load as fast as internet explorer.

It would be nice if apple made the animation go through the video card's proccesor and take the amount of use from the cpu.

Right now apple does not support appletalk. How are you setting your network settings up. Are you using tcp/ip?

Well i heard that all the animation is done by the procceser and not the video card. Which will cause the computer to slow down when you do something.

Guys you have to read the post. Turn your extensions to a min. and you will have classic loaing in no time. I to had the same problem but i turned them to a min. and it works great. Try to turn them off.

Right now its beta and it will have a lower ram requirment. Also the beta contains a lot of debug code and that will slow and take ram up. So we will see whats up in the near future for beta updates.

Marcel what oyu do in classic is turn your extensions to the macos 9 basics. There are extensions on your os that might not work with classic right at this moment. It should help your problem. I had the same problem and turned most of my extensions off. Now i am always using classic.
