    Mac on PC

Personally I don't like the idea of emulation of anything Mac related on an Intel platform . . . I should also note, Gemulator is only used to read Mac written floppy's on a Win9x machine. Oh, and SoftMac can only support up to system 8, so I doubt that is of any use either . . .

    Mac on PC

Hey Ed? Um, were you really offended he didn't "search before posting"? I doubt you will be running any ppc based OS on x86 (Intel) hardware anytime soon (this includes MacOS X). And I highly doubt OS X for Intel will be released next week at MWSF . . . So don't get your hopes up.

    Typical Apple Cycle

1.) Apple announces that it will be releasing a new product 2.) Rumors circulate, everyone starts wishing for the impossible 3.) Apple releases product for obviously high price tag 4.) Apple fans complain about price and the fact it wasn’t was the rumors claimed it to be, but buy the product...

    It's HERE: iPod

To my knowledge Apple was trying to accomplish a few goals with this whole ‘digital hub’ idea . . . First off they want products that anyone could use (both PC and Macintosh) but the device would be limited to PC users and Macintosh users would get the edge, this causing PC users to look more...

    It's HERE: iPod

I’m not impressed at all, I was hoping for something breakthrough but we get an MP3 player that costs more money and less space then the Creative Nomad (closest equivalent I could find). Has Apple lost its touch? . Allen Goodman

    Good PPC emulation on x86

I’m ready to get flamed for this, but Transmeta is well only well received by people who think Linus is some sort of God. Quite frankly they haven’t done anything spectacular. Intel & AMD have both caught up to them in low power consumption and well . . . code morphing still isn’t apparent...

    Go Apple Go Apple !!!!!

I doubt it, those MP3’s were put there so people could use royalty free music for there iMovie’s . . . Check the official Apple site for more information on that . . . As for my guess, I could care less Tuesday is not that far away.

Okay, in response to my last poll...

Rumor has it that Dreamweaver for OS X will have the option of MySQL + PHP. . . Nice dynamic database driven sites from your home, swell. . . Nice icon btw.

    Perl & Python worth it?

Duct tape for computer applications? Ha, I think you mean the quote from Mr. Wall himself . . . “Perl is the duct tape of the internet”

Okay, in response to my last poll...

Clearly none of you work in web development! Sure I use to swear by hand coding (I have been a VIM user for quite a while now) but WYSWYG programs (well Dreamweaver) have cleaned up their act and have become quite useful. Now I would never leave the WYSWYG world.

    Photoshop 7b1 beta is here!

Though I doubt this person has a beta, I will clear something up, plugin's that work on OS 9 will work on X. Don't believe me? Wait and see.

    Virtual Desktop Pager for OSX?

I wish you could post anonymously on these boards, oh well . . . Space.app is an interesting thing but not a true ‘virtual desktop’, for a true ‘virtual desktop’ system Apple would have to build it into Aqua which I don’t see them doing anytime soon because of Dock.app. --ag
