Set your ibooks network settings to automatically and empty all fields. Apply these new network settings (also turn off PPPOE) and...

Dvds Not Recognized On Powerbook G4

So, even the Tiger install DVD, which actually worked before, is no more mounting? If so then it sounds like you rather have a software relatd problem there. Can a 15" Powerbook/AGP G4 drive a 20" Cinema display?

Your G4 15'' powerbook with a DVI connector will very surely run the cinema screen and most probably also the dell screen (not sure if it's dvi as well or only d-sub [where you will be forced to use an adaptor]). However, you won't be able to change the graphic unit of your powerbook. My...

    CD ripping temperatures

How do you measure the temperature? Didn't know it was possible to access the G4 temperature sensor via software. 138 degrees F would be 58°C. This doesn't sound that much. Does your fan start spinning loudly while you are ripping a CD?

    Can Older Dvdrom's Read Dvdrw's?

Any written DVD-/+RW (even dual-layer) should be readable in any DVD-compatible drive. But I didn't test this in practice. However, considering the speed for burning DVDRWs to DVDRs and also their prices, DVDRs should be the better choice. In CD-times it was said that CDRs are much more...

A G4 and LinkSys Wireless Network

Hi mc127 and welcome to the forum. You should specify the G4 mac a bit more so we can think of wifi solutions fitting to that. However, dlinks wifi over usb works with macs. Also take a closer look at this list. Once you have the G4 wifi enabled it will work with any router. Good luck!
