Fresh Memorex 700mb CD-RW will not mount
Mac Superdrive spits it out.

WindowsXP mounts the same new disk.
Simple drag and drop of desired file in a standard XP window
then simple File|write these files to CD invoked
Burns it fine and tells me when done.
The burnt CD-RW then mounts in the Mac as a CD-ROM
Disk Utility cannot burn it, erase, etc nothing.
No matter which icon related to the disk is selected.
All choices are greyed out.
Another CD-RW from same carton was burned on a macmini and cannot be erased on my Mac.
It can be erased on the Macmini (Matshita 8124)
I just erased it without quick erase.
Ejected.
Put in my Mac and it spits it out.
Put back in MacMini - ready to burn.
Option|drag and drop file from mounted Windoze drive
Burning away
Placed new burn into my Mac
Mounted ok but as CD-ROM
Disk utility cannot erase

Ok put in PC and it mounts, shows file, but as write protected
under properties it will let me do a full format only with a 7 minute estimate.
Yep I'm even lost in this thread now........
Looks like my G4 with Pioneer drive is screwed up.
The Macmini one is good to go.
One burned on PC stay on PC I guess and vice versa.
I'm only burning backups of files and not sharing stuff with buddies across different computers.
