Hey all - I have Powerbook G4 w/20gig HD I originally had my system all on one partition with 9.1 and OSX. What I want to do now is to re-do my whole setup on separate partitions. Any suggestions on how I show partition my HD? Keep in mind I do a lot of video editing/DVD authoring and graphic...

Another HUGE thing I am hoping to hear about tomorrow is Final Cut update for OSX!! I read somewhere that this summer sometime Final Cut will be ported over to OSX. Hopefully this happens cause it would be freakin awesome if it does happen tomorrow!

I don't remember how I did that with my dock. I remember when I first installed OSX I saw some article on how to tweak the dock and so I did it. I think it was from MacAddict's website. I remember I had to go into OS9.1 and edit some stuff...

Oh - sorry I thought all along that my card was a ATA/100....guess I was wrong. oops, now I feel like an idiot. Sorry guys...well, nonetheless I have been loving this card that I got, it works great for the video that I do and it helps me save a ton of money over SCSI drives!

this isn't any news to me....there's a company in southern california that has had a ATA-100 card out for a while called the TurboMax card. I've been running it with IBM 75GXP drives on it and i'm getting like 40-44MB/sec sustained! They are called ProMax... www.promax.com

no it's not that hard to find stuff for Macs out there...there are a ton of sites for it. Go to Barns and Noble and pick up MacAddict or MacWorld or any other Mac magazine...those are rad to go through

All you need to do is go to the Apple Menu (upper left corner of screen), go down to control panels and select the Startup Disk. Then you will see your hard drive listed. click on the little arrow pointing at the hard drive and then out comes two selections to highlight, OS 9.1 or OS X...

Any way to choose OSX or OS 9.1 before the system boots? It sucks sometimes having to wait until you boot into the OS to change the startup disk...

JUST GIVE ME BACK SOUNDJAM MP!!!!!! That program rocked. I wish Apple didn't buy it from them and stop the making of it. I wish I had it back. It was fast, reliable and had the most awesome tools in it.

I've got the 10.0.4 update on my machine and there have been no problems at all here. In fact, it's done my system a lot of good. My Classic apps run a bit faster and smoother, my system runs cleaner and better. There are still a ton of things Apple needs to work on but I can wait 2 weeks until...

mine would never work either....I just found an IP address of an NTP server and forced it to update. Go to this link and there you can find a list of servers. hope this helps...Mike
