In safari, when I look at pictures people post on forums, it downloads the file as "attachment.php" even though the file is a jpeg or whatever. Is there a setting I'm missing?

i copied the picture into another folder and then i repaired disk permissions (not quite sure what that does) which seems to be working so far. i just wonder what made it change to the default in the first place.

the picture has not changed locations. it is in the folder that iphoto created. i used system preferences to change it, then after it reset, i used iphoto to change the desktop. the image is not locked, and i have all the rights to it. this just started yesterday after i woke it from sleep...

for some reason, my destop pictures keep resetting themselves to the standard blue screen. i'm running 10.2.4. every time this happens (upon restarting, sometimes waking from sleep) i'll change it back to my image, delete the com.apple.desktop.plist file. but it keeps going back to the blue...

would it be possible to use the imac 10.2.3 disc on my powermac? my powermac came with 10.1, and the imac has 10.2. just a thought...

I read somewhere that this scanner is os X compatible, but I can't find the driver for it. The only onles I can find are for os 9 and below. I've read the compatibility list from apple, and it's not listed, but am almost certain that it's OS X compatible. Can anyone confirm or deny this...

I tried Chimera. Great browser, but no luck. I tried netscape as well, still nothing. It hasn't been giving me problems in the past two days, only a handful of sites won't load. Not really sure what's going on.

I'm sorry if this topic has been discussed before, but I don't have the time to do an extended search. I have encountered a strange problem. I just switched to cable from DSL and now some sites won't load. After an hour or so, I couldn't load many sites e.g. apple, cnet, some other "big"...
