safari quit working

i was using safari today, put my computer to sleep, and now safari doesn't work. have no idea where to begin to look. has this happened to anyone else?
 
You can probably get it going by deleting the preference files. Do a file-search on "safari" and delete the preference files it finds (usually in /Library/Preferences or ~/Library/Preferences).

Remember, Safari is in public beta release. If you find you can replicate the problem consistently by performing a certain action or visiting a certain site, then click the bug button.
