Copying files from remote computer through telnet?

It's easy to transfer files with SSH. Use the 'scp' command. The ssh command is the SSH equivalent of telnet. The SSH equivalent of rcp is 'scp'. I've used it on OS X, so I know it works. It's easy. -tony

Will Clean Install Work On 0s 10.1 Update Cds?

I did a clean install on Saturday to my G4 (Quicksilver). I started with 9.2 and 10.0.4 on the same disk, as it came from the factory. Here is what I did: - Backed up user data files. - Booted off of the 9.2 cd. - Ran Disk Utility to erase, reformat, and partition my disk into 2...

    Perl & Python worth it?

I picked up one of the O'Reilly Python books a few months ago, intending to learn it, but I haven't had much time to spend on it yet. Python is an object-oriented language that can be "interpreted" for simple scripting, as well as "compiled" for complex applications. I've not gotten very...

    MAIL application

I've been wondering the same thing. I read my email on a UNIX machine, so I've never really cared before. But I'm setting up an email account for my wife, and she'll want to use the Mac. She doesn't need a lot of extra features, just something that works, and is easy to use. So, what do...
