PHP - Hard Coding or Dreamweaver?

I always believe that the best way to have control over your program (even if it is a web application, SPECIALLY if it is a web application) is by writing "pure" code. If you attach to Dreamweaver sooner or later you will feel imprisoned by some limited way of doing things, and by the time you...

pds, try reconfiguring the preview by eliminating Internet Explorer from the preview pane, and re-inserting it manually (ow yeah, had to be Microsoft the cause of our pains). You can do that under SkEdit preferences. You will then see it is worth those tiny $20.

    powerbook G5..? when?

What about an Intel PowerBook? :D (However, no jokes. First rumours before the G5 appeared talked about a possible Intel powered Apple).

It would be a little bit helpful if I knew where the ~ symbol is in my Spanish keyboard hehehe. And jokes apart, no, it is not very useful since doing that will switch between open docs, but won't show me a clickable overview of them. Thanx anyhow.

    Parental Control

Good to know, since I do have Norton Utilities 7 for OS X, but I never installed it in my new system. Any advice for a good replacement?

    powerbook G5..? when?

Hmm. I'm thinking too about that. An underclocked G5 (1,33?) for the next PowerBook, so they can more easily overcome cooling problems. Is it really worth having a 1,33/1,55 G5 vs. a 1,33/1,44 G4? Specially taking in account that there's barely no 64bits optimised software around, and at this...

    Any users using .mac?

Me too. I thought it was a fidelity program but it is often used for other software companies to promote their software (i.e. Norton). Not bad though, a bit expensive for what you finally get - specially those MBs at the iDisk.

iMovie scene detection for imported clips?

It does provide some useful information, but it does not solve my problem. Ok, let's forget iMovie. Is there an scene detection program for a movie file (.mov, .mpeg....)? (for Mac OS X, of course).

    powerbook G5..? when?

1.5... 1.6... don't know about you, but those processor speeds (referring now to a possible G4 upgrade for powerbooks) sound pretty slow yet, specially taking in account the big performance gap in between the G5 and the G4, and the speeds obtained by processors made by Intel and AMD...

Apple and BMW team up for car audio device

On one hand, that sounds cool. But on the other hand, will be _buying a BMW_ the solution to connect my iPod to my car audio system? (wow, THAT is an upgrade!). I hope not.

    Parental Control

Yes. Norton Parental Control seems to be unstable. I also tried it after discovering it at .mac. It blocks all my HTTPS/SSL requests even when inactive. I go through a proxy though, but that has never happened before. Uninstalling it solved the proble. I believe that Norton should be more...

    OS X Tiger?

That is an optimistic point of view I like to share. I do know Apple is - afterall - a big business looking for profit. But also, I also believe that Apple's business philosophy does not fall under the say "money at all costs". They sell expensive products but on the other hand they make...

    A good editor

Ok, after some research I think I just fount the best (ehm, the most round?) HTML/Web developing editor around. Of course that if we discard WYSIWYG editors, which I personally abhor. Thank you for your help. This is, however, the result of my research (I thought you might be interested on my...
