    Going to buy an ipod

Yep. As are all the OTHER brands that can actually hold even a small portion of my music. And the iPod is the ONLY one I can even begin to justify the cost of buying, because of all it's other features. But I should probably let this drop now before I am accused of feeding the trolls :)

    Going to buy an ipod

Not to mention that an iPod is more than just an MP3 player. Not a lot more, perhaps, but more. It is also a calendar, address book, solitaire, alarm clock, and several other things, not to mention a nice portable Firewire hard drive. And I have over 1000 songs I like to listen to, so if an iPod...

    The Screen Savers.

I was watching on TechTV. And at this point, the show I saw was long enough ago that writing to thhem probably wouldn't do any good. Especially since I only have the one example of bad advice, I can't point to a trend. :)

    The Screen Savers.

In general I would have to agree that it is an interesting show, although I have only seen it a couple of times. Beware their mac advice, though. In this one episode I watched, a lady with a titanium Powerbook called up asking how to install an airport card. They started out well enough, with...

Two passwords work: how is this possible?

I believe that the keychain uses the entire password. I don't know if this is what you were thinking of though, or even for sure if I am remembering correctly :)

    Number pad doesn't work anymore

Try this: Open the Universal access preference pane and click the mouse tab. make sure that Mouse Keys is off. If not, turn it off. Having it on will commandeer your number pad as a mouse, but it will not be readily apparent :)

    Printer sharing and Security

I have four computers networked in my house, three on Airport and one on Ethernet, all sharing a single printer using Mac OS X's built in printer sharing. The printer is connected to one of the Airport computers. The whole network is connected to the internet via a cable modem. The Airport Base...

How do I turn off the Ken Burn's effect?

Set the beginning and ending zooms and positions to be the same. That's how I do it at least, although I have heard of other methods.

    new iPod

Ok, I'll probably get flamed for this, but... Apple releases new iPods. Those new iPods, surprise, surprise, have new features that are not available on the older models. And people are complaining about this????? Isn't that the way new product releases are supposed to work? I apologize if I'm...

My refrigerator keeps my computer up!

It is a fairly cheap surge suppresor that a friend gave me, so there are probably much better ones avalable. A UPS would be nice, but I can't really justify the cost at this point. I did go ahead and move the fridge to a different circuit, however, and that has solved the problem, so apparently...

My refrigerator keeps my computer up!

Worth a shot at least. Granted, the layout of my room wouldn't be quite as nice, but I supose I have to decide which is the greater anoyance: poor room layout, or constant computer waking. Thanks!

My refrigerator keeps my computer up!

It could be the current spike I suppose, with my surge suppresor simply not being good enough to catch it. But that, of course, does leave the question of how to fix it. Would I just need a better surge suppresor? Thanks for the input!
