actually, the one thing thats really getting on my nerves is the os x finder. it is sooooooooo buggy and sooooo slow. its not even multithreaded, copying files sucks big time, list view sucks, and so on and so on. i hope they will soon get the functionality of the old os 9 finder into os x. but...

Since I updated to OS X 10.1.3, my mac crashes at least once a day. The kernel won't panic, but after having my iMac running for like 10 hours, the spinning rainbow cursor will appear and never disappear again until i reboot. This really sucks. Wit 10.1.2 I wuz having uptimes of about 30 days...

the windows still jump around when changing too fast between applications :( i hope apple will fix this bug soon. its getting on my nerves...

My current uptime is 25 days, 3 hours, 8 minutes :cool: Everything still seems stable. OS X rocks :D

iMac DV SE 500 - Build 5P48 (OS X 10.1.2) : nothing happens

my imacs power light is green :) its always green, except when i turn off the imac or when i put it to sleep. then the light will turn red.

In the preferences "energy saver" panel I have set my built-in iMac monitor to switch off after 20 minutes. Unfortunately, OS X won't really shut down the monitor after the set time. Although the screen will get black, the monitor will b still switched on, as I can see when its dark in my room...

its a new version of speech recognition. it will turn on the imac whenever the user sais "f*ck windoze"

u shouldnt need to buy a crossover ethernet cable! the macs ethernet cards are smart enough to find out by themselves whether its a direct or a hub connection. maybe u just need to turn on ur appletalk/filesharing. :)

you can also edit alice's config file. i don't remember whut itz name wuz, but i think it wuz "default.cfg" or something like that! ill look for it when i get home and then post it how u can solve the problem.

I deleted my custom harddisk icons this week, and now the problem with the black lined icons seems to be gone...

I think it has also to do with the OS X Finder not being multithreaded. On Windows, every Explorer window is an extra thread. So when one window tries to refresh its content (like when something on the iDisk has changed) the other windows will still b responsible. In OS X, the Finder is not...

:o They better should fix it! Otherwise I will regard OS X as being a sucking system and will move over to Microsoft Windows, where everything is just as colorful as in OS X and where the Icons don't get messed up by Microsoft products. ;) jk!!!!

Anyways, what are yall using ur iDisks for? :confused: I also have a iDisk account, but havent really used it yet. :o

:eek: Wow! When I click on the attached zip file wit my IE 5 on Win2000, it automatically downloads the file AND opens it, WITHOUT asking me whether it should do so or not. :eek: What a security flaw...

100% ack, my iDisk on MacOS X is also pretty slow (im on DSL). But on Win2000 (@work), I can't even connect to it. :)

I just thought u could b a HipHop fan cause BlingBling's a song from Juvenile (as far as I remember...) :)
