AOL UK abandons Mac OS X

If AOL's programmers knew how to write programs, it wouldn't take them months to make their software run on OS X. I guess their code is just over and over bloated and structured like old ass basic spaghetti code.

    10.1.1 update logic stinks!

Inside my applications folder, I made some subfolders called "Internet", "Graphic" etc. and moved my apps into them. When I later updated to 10.1.1 the installer didn't find the mail.app because it was located inside the Internet folder. It then created a new folder inside Applications called...

No Floppy Drive Support in OS X??

My old Performa 5300's disk drive has already died, sending out loud cracking noises. But I don't care; I think I'll never have to use floppy disks again in this life.... :) If ur floppy disks really are so important for u, y don't u just burn all of them onto a cd, and then use the cd wit...

Hi! As I already noticed, many people seem to have problems wit running Java Applets under OS X. Now its time to also count myself to those people. While being at work, I accidently discovered a game called Robobombo on the net :D It played pretty fine on my Win2000 Working Box. But when I...

    Developer Tools problem

Some weeks ago, I installed the Apple Developer Tools on my iMac (OS X 10.1). Unfortunately, the installer installed the Developer folder onto the root (upper) directory of my hd. Today I decided it would b cooler to have that DevTools folder down in my private Apps folder, so I moved it down...

More Evidence for Slowness of X

I've seen Windows XP run on a Pentium 300 MHz and 256 MB RAM, and it wuz pretty, pretty fast! MacOS X can't catch up wit Windows XP's speed. It even can't catch up wit Windows 2000/ME/98/... speed. All programs on X run pretty slow. E. If I want to play Tony Hawks, I have to quit all other...

    Windows jump around

When I change from one application to another by clicking in the apps window title bar, it often happens that the window jumps to another position on the screen. I've seen this in iTunes 1/2, IE, AIM, ICQ etc, so its not an application related problem. Right now I got 10.1 installed, but I...

Changing the filename will not change the name of that file in the iTunes 2 playlist. iTunes displays the mp3-name-tag instead of the real filename. :)

Poll: PC and/or Mac users in this forum?

I think its always good to have both, Macs and PC's at home or at work. As many people already said, there are things that can't be done [well] on Macs, and there are things, that can't be done [well] on PC's. But imagine a world without Apple.... I think I'd give up my job (software...

The two worst things in OS X EVER

Everybody who's got access to ur computer can also access ur files. No matter whether theres an open firmware password installed or not. He can just crack/open up ur mac, take out the hd and put it into another mac. There he can boot from cd and remove/change the root password. Otherwise he...
