I believe that some G3 based Macs needed a newer ATA card to access an ATA drive that size - but if you're putting your drive into an external EIDE enclosure, then you'll be fine as long as the enclosure has a controller that can handle 250GB.

I just talked to Apple - and fedex. My order, placed 4/12 (!!) is now scheduled to be delivered May 2!! The Apple rep told me that Fedex is under contract to deliver all those copies ordered before 4/26 by 4/29, absolutely NO exceptions or excuses. It won't get me my software any faster...
