Hmm...i'm not having any problems with Spotlight.

FINALLY! So i was futsing around with some of the cool graphics tools that come with XCode 2.0 on the Tiger install DVD. I made my way to Quartz Debug, and looked around a bit, found something called Beam Sync, which sounded interesting. I disabled Beam Sync, and now Exposé works...

My epson cx5400 has been running fine with the Panther drivers...

looks neat. I tried configuring it to look like that for a little while...i find DragThing very unintuitive, though.

Clean install. No haxies (don't run them normally). But i didn't even import any documents. Exposé is still performing badly when more than 2 windows need to be "Exposéd". I repaired permissions, ran fsck, etc.. One thing i did notice...when the Dock is visible, Exposé is even choppy...

I'm gonna try a clean install of Tiger and then 10.4.1 before installing anything else, just to see if this cures my expose problems. I'll let you guys know.

They didn't fix the expose bug. :(

Probably just windows viruses attached to email messages that will not harm your Mac. Does Virex tell you the paths of the infected files?

Setting my font smoothing to Standard fixed the odd fonts on my PB

This is a problem with Tiger's default font smoothing selection. Go to System Preferences --> Appearance and go down to the last setting. Set "Font Smoothing" to Standard instead of Automatic. Reboot and it should look like Panther.

Oddly enough, after a few reboots, and some uptime...Expose is completely back to normal. :confused:
