I'm using an Ortek ergonomic (split) keyboard. Every time I get on my wife's machine with the Apple Pro Keyboard, I hate it. Feels like I have to pound the poor thing to death. ;)

TTP 3.07 does defrag both data and files. It does two defragging passes, one for each type.

TinkerTool can also do that. :D

The first thing I would try is deleting the Explorer preferences (in ~/Library/Preferences).

If it's in good condition, sounds like it's worth $550. I would add another 256MB of RAM (around $40) and a multi-button optical mouse ($20 to $30). Just my opinion. :)

Green Bay Packers! I grew up on Michigan's Upper Peninsula, which is a lot closer to Green Bay than Detroit. So the local TV station carried all the Packer games. And this was in the glory days under Vince Lombardi! :D

Jaguar includes a preference pane to configure the built-in firewall. It works beautifully. Brickhouse and Impasse will no longer be needed in a few weeks. :D

I have cable service from Adelphia. The speed is excellent, right around 3000k/sec when conditions are good, and never less than 900k/sec during "prime time." But the price is $40 per month if you also have their cable TV service. So for broadband and cable TV with the extended digital...

Any ATI card that uses AGP is supported for Quartz Extreme. That includes 8MB Rage 128s like the one in my CRT iMac. The speed jump will just be less than the 16 and 32MB cards get. BTW, 6C98 is WAAAAY faster than 10.1.5 on my machine. And it looks gorgeous! :D

Are you saving the files as little thumbnails? The size estimate only works if you use the option "Save web-ready, without resource." Then each file only has the generic GC icon.
