explorer does not recognize .sit

I used iGeeter in the past, and since then Explorer is not able to manage correctly the .sit file. Anybody knows how to correct that ?

The first thing I would try is deleting the Explorer preferences (in ~/Library/Preferences).

I've tried it. No success. I also reset the applications in the helpers preference menu... not better. It is asking for a stuffit plugin and no such plugin exists.

check your IE prefs, it's there! you need to check all .sit occasions and change from iGetter to stuffit or whatever you wish to do. iGetter sucks on that!
