I'm using my old Sony trini tube temporarily with a G5 dualie 2G. The monitor is taking it's sweet time waking, like 30 secs.. Much longer than it did with the G3 in control as it allowed. Any ideas for a fix? Will this be the case with a new LCD monitor other than an Apple?

trying to print labels from narrow (single column) Avery 4014. Can't get centered correct from sheet feed and they won't fit in the tray as they're a bit long. Whether I try to guestimate the center or use the actual "sizer" on the sheet feed. Any ideas?

supposedly this router passes AppleTalk. Prints fine from my G3 and from my Ti when the G3 is on. Is that the only way this will work? Is there some way to configure IP printing so that it will print when the G3 isn't on?

success! thanks very. I guess if I wanted to be able to print without the G3 on, I'd need to find a wireless print server as the printer is currently shared thru my G3 to the router.

I assume I need the leading underscore _ as you've indicated in the IP? Coz in PSU the queue name is shown as: HP_LaserJet_5P

my G3 is 192.168.2.5 her laptop comes up as .78 printer sharing is on my G3 which is connected to the 802 router. the 5MP is connected to the router via a Farallon iPrint ethernet bridge. the PC laptop at .78 is wireless and gets the internet just fine.
