I know you are into the whole solar thing, but why not just get the USB power adapter and the world wide adapter kit (comes with plugs for MANY different countries and the power conversion is done in the adapter it self)

*HackSputterwheeze* not warranty... AppleCare X_X; What do you expect from something a bit bigger than a hard drive (with a non-solidstate HD) that is shaken up a lot? My Photo's (4.5 gen?) clickwheel went out and my genius buddies promptly swapped it out for a replacement.
