    Keynote is over...impressions?

After thinking about it a while, I think this was a pretty good MacWorld. This was OS X's "Coming Out Party". They effectively introduced it, and encouraged developers to make software for it. Not only that, but they managed to squeeze in PowerMac G4 and iMac updates as well. And all during a...

    It's Happened!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

No, it's very un-cool and un-fun. Think about it: by announcing OS X 10.1, they make it official that there are no more OS 10.0.x updates, and that means our next update is in September. If there was an 10.1 update in September and a OS 10.0.5 update half way between now and then, I would be...

*codename: Chameleon Revealed* Os X On Intel

Am I the only one who has noticed? OSXonIntel (or whoever the original poster was) has only one post...still! It's like he/she came here just to harass us...

We have to pay for 10.1!!!

D'oh! It doesn't fit on a Zip! Well, that's what my crossover cable is for:D

We have to pay for 10.1!!!

I think I'll let my friend download it and give it to me on a Zip lol. That's what I did with the 9.1 update:D

    MacOS 10.1 IS OUT

It would be much better to put a VE on my iBook :D

We have to pay for 10.1!!!

But he said it was available via download too, and if they charge me shipping hand handling for that I'll scream bloody murder!

We have to pay for 10.1!!!

The should ship us all the CD for free! That would be a way to build loyal customers!

    Keynote is over...impressions?

Great! No "one more thing" means their waiting to blow us away with OS X 10.1:D!

    Keynote is over...impressions?

That was a really bad move on Apple's part. The entire industry is slowing and all Apple can do is say, "We are faster than a P4, and someday we might possibly maybe ship Mac OS X 10.1". I find it sad that Apple tries to sell their Power Macs at such high prices. They need to put something into...

    Removing Files Notice

You want Mac OS X to behave like OS 9 when it comes to file permissions? Well, first you have to enable root (the super user, alowed to do anything he/she wants, just like in OS 9). To do that, launch NetInfo Manager (in the Utilities folder in the Applications folder) and select Domain menu...

    Picture of the iMac 2!!!!!

I just remembered where I saw it: Cube-Zone! They had a link to the site which originally made it.

    Picture of the iMac 2!!!!!

I saw this a while ago, too. I didn't say anything because I thought I was insane;) There was also the same picture but slightly modified to have a 15 inch screen because they thought it wasn't realistic for Apple to have a 17". It was the same thing, but it had the horizontal lines around it...

Macwold NY annoucement.. What do you think.........

It's pretty unlikely, but they could have put the whole computer outside excluding the CD/DVD/CD-R and the display. The cube had an external power supply about half as big as itself, so I guess it's possible. And that way, if the computer tipped over, you would just buy a new 'terminal'. But...

Macwold NY annoucement.. What do you think.........

You can't see this in the first pic, but in the second pic that wdw_ posted, there's a side view, and that's where the CD goes. It's also in the first pic; you can see the leg hanging off it. So, to answer your question: yes, the CD does hang out the back.

Is there a "one more thing..."? What could it be?

I got it for $225 us, but there was a deal at CompUSA; it was normally $300. It's not as quick as I though FireWire to be, but I had never used FW before. I would recommend it, but in the future I would look for a smaller one with a lower price (I have it partitioned three ways: 10GB for Mac OS...

Connecting a display to an iBook

I have done a little searching, and I came up with nothing useful. I found a bunch of products that do S-video and composite, but you already have composite (so do I, but mine is messed up:mad: ). I didn't find anything that did the next step, though (s-video or composite to VGA, SVGA, or DVI)...

    Tricks the Dock CAN'T do

Apple isn't going to open source the Dock. That would be like handing out porting OS X to x86 and and giving it away (not quite, but you get the point).

    MacOS XI?

On here, it always selects the file/folder, but it only scrolls to make it visible if I am not in list view. But in icon and column view, it selects it and scrolls. Kind of bizarre.
