I used to. If you are using Final Cut Pro, The raw video WILL need to be on teh laptop, or eles your system will lag like crzy since it has to "source out" the raw file. Just put stuff on the external drive you can do with out, then use the laptop for editing.

I have 2 500 gig drives inside teh comp. One has 430 gig, the other like 400. the one with 400, is where my capture scracth and all my raw videos are stored.

Iam constatly running Final cut pro HD, and using eather After effects, or DVD studio pro, or some other programs as well. IS there a way to calculate how much ram each program takes up, and how effeficant my comp. is running? to see if i do need more or not?

Awesome guys. i just checked ebay, and the prices there are ALOT cheaper than the 129 bucks from apple. Now, iam not sure what OS version it is, i think its 10.1.xx or 10.2xx its a 17 inch powerbook from 2 and half years ago? Any ideas? any way to tell.

I am needing to re install OSX on my laptop since I sold it. Thats no Big deal, execpt iam having truble finding the CD's. The only CD's i do have are for my G5, and the laptop is a 17 inch powerbook. is there any thing i can do? Buy the new cd's? download them from somewhere? anything...
