You should type http://restaurant to load that sites folder. Have you added your site to httpd.conf?

    Photoshop CS2

You should try a restart after moving the pref files and repairing permissions. Hopefully that will set things right. Have you updated Acrobat lately?

    Photoshop CS2

Hi, first, repair permissions. If that doesn't work, find the .plist and .pref files for Photoshop and move them to the trash (don't delete just yet). Restart Photoshop and it should start up. If not, you might have a software conflict, but we'll deal with that in due time. I think your...

InDesign CS2 no longer working after Acrobat update.

You're in luck! Someone else on this site had the same problem with 10.4, Acrobat 8 update (to 8.2 I believe) and CS2 not working afterwards. Notes and link to a fix on Adobe's website on my blog: http://thesalon.blogspot.com/2010/01/adobe-acrobat-watch-out-for-creative.html

    Desktop Background

I'm with you and RIP Bob Wood, whom I'm sure is having a good laugh along with you - things ARE a bit serious around here these days. While I may roam through exciting desktops, I always end up back at my wood paneling. I just love the sight and smell of wood. Well, one out of two ain't bad...

Mac OS X 10.6 NetBoot Font Problem

It's probably a font conflict - this happens a lot with Helvetica. Try FontBook and make sure there aren't two versions of the same font.

    Hot Macbook

Yep, this is why they don't call them "laptops" anymore. The processor chips are so fast now they generate a lot of heat, and the computer case is used as a heat sink to dissipate heat. You could get the widget "iStat Pro" to monitor the temperature of your computer if you're concerned. You'll...

Mac OS X 10.6 NetBoot Font Problem

Per @Giaguara, open FontBook on that drive and make sure Helvetica is enabled. Also make sure the required system fonts are active (this list is for 10.5 but I'm pretty sure it's the same for 10.6): http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1642

    "Garageband quit unexpectedly".

A great discussion here on the issue: http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=1034047&start=15&tstart=0 In particular: "Use Disk Utility to repair your system permissions (/Applications/Utilities); Then, trash your GarageBand Preference files (don't worry, it will replace them; you...

    I can't stop my MySQL

I'm not sure if this will complicate things but I like using XAMPP to turn MySQL on and off on my Mac. Find it at VersionTracker. Look here for a more complicated, and possibly more thorough, set of instructions using terminal...
