    Checking Unix Server prestanda?

Another option would be, if you can put cgi's or your own php apps on the server, you could use that to query a command line application for the server information. Depending on the type of unix it is, the commands would be different. Brian

    Checking Unix Server prestanda?

You might want to check to see if the server is running SNMP. If it is, you can use SNMP to query for the information you're looking for. Brian

    Stupid Questions about [Music] Keyboards

A synthesizer actually creates sound. They can have speakers built it, or have outputs to connect to speakers. A MIDI keyboard controller is just buttons, keys, and knobs. It is unable to produce any sounds, it is used purely as an input device for software to create the sounds. Basically...

    Weird, kind of spooky problem.

What is she doing when it crashes? What does the CPU load look like at the time? You might want to install something like LoadInDock (http://homepage.mac.com/takashi_hamada/Acti/MacOSX/LoadInDock/index.html) to see what the CPU usage has been at the time it freezes up, and it will also show what...

    Electric Guitar through an iMic?

Well, how technical would you like me to get on impedence? :) To make it simple, low impedance is high powered, high impedance is low powered. (This is very overly simplicated) On how it relates to Garage Band, Mac, and the MobilePre is pretty simple. The inputs you'll find either built into...

    eyeTV 200 Question : mpeg1 vs mpeg2

Wait for the 200. The eyeTV USB is, as the name implies, is USB based, the eyeTV200 is Firewire based. The reason the eyeTV USB is mpeg1 is, USB 1.1 does not have enough usable bandwidth to properly sustain an mpeg2 video stream, so they use mpeg1 which is smaller. Since the eyeTV 200 is based...

    Electric Guitar through an iMic?

The MobiePre USB that Apple is selling has multiple types of input, it handles microphones, low impedence input, and high impedence input. It is also a preamp to amplify the signals from an instrument, and it has controls for limiting the input so you don't get distortion from sending a higher...
