Well, can't say I have given that much though. Any suggestions in THAT area then? If I get an external hub I'm going with the Belkin 7 Port...but I'm surely open to more suggestions.

As the title says, I need some suggestions for a good USB Hub. I've got a crappy no-name one now and it's just that...crappy. Half the things I plug into it won't work. So, I'm looking for something with 6+ ports that's built to do it's job and do it well. Annnndddddd GO!

Do I enable both Quartz 2d AND extreme or just extreme? or does it even matter?

They're all POP and like I said, it at one point was searching everything just fine. Also, just trashed prefs and it still won't search using "Entire Message" on messages over 1 week old.

So do I have to launch Quartz Debug each time I boot up or if I launch Quartz Debug once and turn it on it will stay on until I open it again and turn it off?

It at one point WAS finding messages from years ago...then it just stopped. And I've actually reindexed twice. I'll be trashing the prefs later on to see if that fixes it.

Maybe I'm missing something (I'm sure of it actually)...but does Quartz 2D Extreme have any benefit to anybody other than developers? For instance, I do a ridiculous amount of design and video editing...does Quartz 2D Extreme help me? Or does it even have anything to do with that?

Okay, so I did a little bit of troubleshooting with the search in mail and have come to the conclusion that it is only searching "Entire Message" if the email was received in the past 7 days. It will search all the other fields (From, To, Subject) for any date. But If I select to search "Entire...

Yeah, haven't gotten around to updating it...but yes, I do have 3.5GB of RAM.

I'm having problems and I have a Dual 2Ghz PowerMac G5. LOTS of apps have been crashing including many of Apple's on apps. They don't consistently crash...just in waves. There might be a 2 hours period where it doesn't matter what I open...it crashes. Then it might go 2 days and run flawlessly.

I did a full install.

Almost every single program I attempt to run is crashing. I've had Tiger since the day it was released and it's been fine until the past day or 2. All adobe products crash after being launched for about 10 seconds. The Office 2004 products lock up every 10 minutes or so. And almost every other...

Whenever using the Spotlight Search inside Mail.app it won't find any emails when I select "Entire Message." Using From, To, and Subject it works fine though.

This morning I did the SuperDrive Firmware Update and since then almost all of my apps are crashing...iTunes, Dreamweaver, Mail, Photoshop...they'll all run for a little while and then just crash. Anybody else having this issue? And yes, I have repaired permissions.

Whenever I'm inside a program (Dreamweaver for instance) and go to open a file from within the program, I see all the invisible files like .DS_Store. Is there a way to keep them completely invisible system/application wide?
