Specify section of song to play in iTunes?

So I have quite a few songs in iTunes by various bands where they'll have a hidden song of some sort in the same track which makes for a song that's like 20 minutes long. So what happens is when iTunes comes to it, I'll end up with a nice chunk of silence. Is there any way to tell iTunes to only play say, the first 4 minutes of that track or something of the sort? I could go in and edit the file, but didn't know if there was neato feature that would let you do this indestructively.

in "get info" go to, i think, the third tab and theres options for start time and end time. set the end time to just after the silence starts and it'' end the track, going to the next one. file remains unchanged
