No more using iPods on airplanes...

As long as the airplane doesn't develop a large hole while in flight, you're fine. However, if it does develop a large hole, you have bigger problems than your iPod not playing.

Best program to create a resume

Many people don't have ID or Quark. We're not talking just about designers here. And after working with it even more, Pages is still the best and with the number of templates available on the web, one can adapt it for the c/v as one wants. For my recent search, I redid my c/v in Pages...

    Shaddup about G5 PowerBooks already!

I think people just hear G5 PowerBook and assume it'll be a massive difference in computing, which it won't. Dual-core G4 might hit 2.0Ghz before a single-core G5 in a PB. If a G5 came out, it'll be about 1.8Ghz. The hard drives are already 100GB and the video card got any upgrade with the...

    20-30 gig backup ideas

$579 for the Iomega burner and 6 disks is pretty hefty. You could get a couple of good external HDs with more space for less than that total. That said, under $50 doesn't sound very likely unless you're going to spend lots of time burning dvds of backed up stuff.

New PowerBook.. Still one button?!? Argg!!

Sidetrack allows for right-clicking and multiple clicking on trackpads up to rev c. DejaMenu is a great way (and free) for menus where you want them and when. The rest of it just people used to doing it one way and wanting it another without even giving it a try. If the above isn't good...

How necessary is it to reserve 15% disk space?

No, no no. Macs aren't peecees and neither are iPods. Partition is almost never needed and can cause more problems than it could potentially cure (less you're a developer or the like).

How big a flop has the iPod photo been so far

With the price, it's not targeted as the mass iPod. It's still the best iPod I've ever owned. Just like PowerMacs don't sell as lower-priced Macs in the range. A flop? Hardly.

    Your iPod Capacities....

If it ain't broke, don't fix it. Why change something iconic so quickly? Like the mini? You mean smaller? The iPod mini then the iPod shuffle. Like the cinema display designs? WTF?

New iMac hints, what possible configurations for the next iMacs?

A 23 would start to push the lines between the PM line. Remember Apple would like to see PowerMacs and monitors as well. And have the people asking for 23s used a 20? It's huge already. A bump in performance seems pretty reasonable though.
