I say you wait till WWDC and see the demo for 10.4 "tiger" and see if they release a date for 10.4 to be released, but it depends on what OS you are curretly running if it 10.2(.8) wait and see if it 10.1(.5) then you could probably buy panther right now but you wight endup kicking your self...

Y do u want to go back to OS 9 anyway? surely there is an app in OS X that will do the same and theres always clasic - although not recomended for day to day use!

After reading that it can cut the size of song files in half i tried to export (to a folder) then import all my music files back into itunes (I couldnt evan copy them all to the folder (dont know why) but anyway if i did manage to do this would the song "soze" half? or is this only for new WMA...

well you can still download itunes 4.2 on the UK itunes website www.apple.com/uk/itunes and I would think the last itunes update would still be avalible in support bit of apples webpage.

the new ipod update updates 2.1 to 2.2 or ipod mini 1 to 1.1 HOPEFULLY this will stop the mini crashing sooo much! anyway just installed so ill get back on that 1 - just having a first look at Itunes 4.5 (just downloaded that 2) looks gd!

yup yup yup! they should have a 1 day event - world wide where all the cpus are reduced - like 50$ for emac and ibook 75$ for imac 85$ powerbook and 100$ for powermac! I would like to see how many cpus they sold that day! LOL
