Just wanted to check something on Intel's homepage, as I discovered that Intel.com is somehow down... My browser keeps saying that the DNS couldn't resolve the name intel.com. Hmm..... :confused:

Get rid of Samba 3.0 and install Samba 2.2.9. The 3.0 series never worked well for me. With 2.2.9 you shouldn't have any problems. I have a Fedora Server running which also has Samba 2.2.something and I can connect to it via OS X with no problems. Get it here...

I think they will do something similar to the graphic card what they've done in the iMac G5 and current PowerBooks. We'll see...

You don't understand. OS X is a Unix system. A damn good one. Windows is only an ongoing try, I think even the final versions that come out are only Beta versions. Windows is not Unix based, and that brings a lot of problems. Windows is far more open to Virus attacks. Should Apple advertise...

Yes, I am on an X86 or X86-64 Processor. But it'll be AMD, not Intel. Also, I do not think that Linux is better, but if OS X only runs on an Intel, for me personally I have no other choice as Linux. I don't wanna see Windows again, Mac OS X runs only with a chip I don't like, so only one...

It's no rumor, it's true. Apple is beginning right now to plan and build Intel-based machines. Call it what ever you like.

I'm making my life better by choosing to have choice. Linux is completely scalable, and you have the choice to have it the way you want it. I'd say I'm still on the good side.

Thanks for supporting me! The Macs I have got now were the first ones - and the last ones. I'm not gonna buy a Intel-based Apple machine (I avoid using the term Mac from now on for Intel based Apple machines). I also will go back to Linux with an AMD CPU - the only option left for me...
