    PC & MAC become one

I know. UNIX (c) is not free, but variations, that consider themselves a Unix (-> FreeBSD) are free.

    PC & MAC become one

OS X is a Unix as well, and Unix is, per se, free software. ;-)

    PC & MAC become one

    1. There are several applications out there that run well on both systems. These CDs are called Hybrid CDs, and contain the applications for both. If you put such a CD into a Windows system, you only see the Windows files, while on Mac you only see the files for Mac. Propellerhead Reason is one...

    Does anybody?

The designs of Apple computers are pretty perfect in my opinion. No need for illuminated fans or fancy water cooling. Really, not necessary.

    Panic from a novice..

You won't need Norton on your Mac since there are still no viruses out for OS X. Well and for the rest? Maybe the site was a source of a trojan horse. Who knows. But that is not related to your Mac, it was the website. Cheers

    Runtime Revolution

Think C++ is too complicated? Think that you're not gonna get it anyway no matter how hard you try? Think some other languages are too complex too and that you won't get it? Well, then here's the solution. It's called Runtime Revolution. It is a development environment which uses a language...

    Tiger - Internet Security 3.0

I think so, too. Besides, there are no viruses yet anyway for OS X, so it's really double the waste of cash... If anybody still thinks you need it, be my guest... it's not necessary, really. :)

    Need a suggestion

Hehe! I'd say you're better off with a more modern G4 when you want to run OS X. Like an eMac G4 or something like that. I'm sure you can get those ones fairly cheap on eBay.

    Classic in Tiger

Please inform yourself before accusing me of spreading disinformation. I said: It is not supported by Apple. Tiger itself does support classic. But if you call Apple and tell 'em you have a problem with Classic in Tiger, they won't help you. I tried it. I could not find the Classic...

Technology to make G5 Powerbooks arrived?

DISREGARD!!! I JUST SAW REPORT IS FROM 2003 ========================== It sounds extremely promising. A new technology developed by a company called Cooligy claims to have developed a new way of cooling a processor. It's done with water cooling. However, they claim that they have found a...

    Tiger crashes everywhere

That could be a problem indeed. Plug in the power cable, and then do a clean install of Tiger. BUT: SAVE YOUR DATA BEFORE YOU DO A CLEAN INSTALL!! Upgrades can also cause problems. I did a clean install on both of my machines when installing Tiger. So far I have no problems. Cheers

does anyone actually OWN a new iMac g5?

I can only agree to what has already been said. The iMac G5 (I have the 1.8 GHz version) is really an elegant machine. Looks extremely nice, has the best TFT Screen I have seen so far, and with 1 Gig of RAM it really handles everything you throw it. Try playing some demanding games on it, like...
