I got a reply back just a few hours later...there's no problem @ all. When you reinstall the OS, it wipes out a file that keeps track of the # of computers...so there's no need to deauthorize before you reinstall

I just noticed something....all the powerbooks (12"-17") have only 512k L2 cache, and NO L3! That makes the 17" about as fast as an iMac! Same processor, same RAM, same cache.....and to think, I was gonna sell my iMac for one.
