Running G5 with tiger with a 200gig HD - can someone talk me thru how to partition it ? Or advise me whether it's a good idea or not i.e safe etc ?

I bought a 2nd hand G5 recently and I want to wipe whats on it as it came with some programs I do not need/want & I would like to install other programs. The problem is when I go to re-install Tiger it keeps asking me for the original password - which I do not know because it was never passed...
