    Alert sound delay

    I'm running MacOS X 10.2.3 on a 640 MB eMac. A few weeks ago the alert sounds started acting up. Basically, they don't play until a couple of seconds after something happens. Not exactly a major malfunction, but it can get annoying. Has anyone else experienced this problem?
