Try Zipping the compiled directory with stuffit. that should resolve any issues.

Ekramer, easiest way by far, is uninstalling apps that you dont need. clearing your internet cache is another way. also, if you've had system crashes your lost+found directory probably has crap that can be deleted. Darwin's automated skripts clean up O/S things pretty well. Are you hurting...

Not to be a jerk, but installing OSX was a no-brainer. The only thing I didnt do was remove all the stupid language support. When I loaded my Ibook the 2nd time, i removed the language support. I have the 500MHz model, so a full install took almost TWO hours. :( W/out the extra language...

Would it be correct to say: X11 (For OSX) only runs apps written for X. Mac apps do not run on X. :confused:

Yeah, the ibook i have was a gift, and I immediately reloaded it with osx from os9. I'm no computer dummy (10+ years exp as a techie), im just new to osx. I did use UFS, and i guess there is no way to directly convert from UFS -> HFS. I dont mind reformatting at all. Noob...

What are those pesky ._filenames? If i delete a file via the GUI or command line, that file still stays there. It's nothing big, i'm just curious. :(
