Thanks Cheryl. But I forgot to mention that the thing won't start from any CD, OS 9 install, Norton, nothing. I'm going to try to boot up again tonight, just in case, and I seriously doubt this, the HD got too hot or something. Any more help is appreciated soooo much. Brian

Hi. I'm having a problem with a spinning "pinwheel" after logging in on 10.2. It just hangs and gets progressively longer each time after a fresh reboot. Any ideas? Some kind of HD spin up thing? I'm new. Be gentle. brian
