okay! i think i got it. ended up sorting through my library and i deleted a few caches and other files that clearly were not meant to be there and this seems to have stopped it. I did also manage to locate a plist from akamai which is now in its rightful place of non existence.

Great article. Tried them all. Nothing. I don't have any files from Akamai in my P List either so locating them is a real pain. I'll keep trying and update again for anyone else with similar trouble. Thank you though. If there were more of these articles readily available I think...
