    Whoa! Sounds like burning another DVD may be easier! I know, I'll call the university ITS and see if they'll take my iBook and load it for me; I know they baby people with PCs that way. Macs used to be prevail on this campus, but cheap eventually won the battle.

    Holding down C on start just confused it for awhile until it just started once again on 10.4. I'll try downloading 10.5 again onto a flash drive and see if that makes any difference.

    I downloaded a dmg file of 10.5 install disc from work where I can get it for free (a university) and burned it to a DVD. Upon opening it on the G4, I get the finder screen with selection files for installing various software along with the Install 10.5 icon. Upon clicking on the icon, I get...
