    3rd Magsafe caught on fire

Isn't the point of the MagSafe is for it to be pulled out by the cord (ie trip on it) without the power brick being damaged? i have NEVER heard of a power supply catch fire. For this to happen it has to be a SEVERE design flaw and hazard. Things like this happen to the Intel Macs i have heard...

    Mysterious disk writes

Spotlight has nothing to do with file sharing. Spotlight is used to search the computer for files. If you ever used Panther Spotlight used to be called Sherlock. This changed to Spotlight in Tiger.

Can no longer boot into Snow Leopard on Mac Mini (Late 2010)

This is not exactly accurate. You cannot say a Optical Drive (or anything for that matter) is dead if it is never inspected. Also "dead" is not the proper term as the drive itself has power. Spitting out the Discs is a sign that something is wrong with the drive. This can be anywhere from a...

Looking To Buy MacBook Pro From eBay

i agree with this you only need to upgrade when the need arises. I still use PowerPC G4s for my day-to-day tasks. I do not need anything higher than Leopard. If there is a chance there is something i cannot do with my PowerPC Macs then i turn on the Windows 7 Machine. Way I see it leave well...
